The Rev. Canon Sally Bingham Visits Sweden to Sign Interfaith Climate Manifesto

interfaithclimatesummitThe Swedish Church invited interfaith delegates from all over the world to the Interfaith Climate Summit, and in late November, 1,000 responded by gathering in Uppsala. Interfaith Power & Light President and Founder, the Rev. Canon Sally Bingham and Executive Director Susan Stephenson visited Sweden for the event.

The Rev. Canon Bingham, along with thirty religious leaders, signed the Interfaith Climate Manifesto. The statement calls for at least 40% carbon reduction in “the rich world” by 2020 and emphasizes the moral significance of climate change.

“It was inspiring to see religious leaders from all over the world uniting over their concern about global warming,” she said.
